The Temuka Community Swimming Pool was refurbished in 2020 using Myrtha Pool’s RenovAction technology, which uses modular stainless-steel panels to line the existing concrete shell of the old pool. The panels are secured to the walls and sealed with a thick PVC sealing system that provides a watertight structure.
In this project, the existing 33m pool was repurposed to form a new 25m Pool with accessible ramp and a separate learn to swim and toddlers pool on an independent filtration system.
For the Timaru District Council, this project was the third of their community pools refurbished using Myrtha Pools RenovAction technology following similar projects at Geraldine & Pleasant Point pools.
Leading Edge Leisure worked in our role with Myrtha Pools to co-ordinate the design documentation and procurement of the Myrtha materials from Italy and then supported Jacobs Construction during the project delivery.
